Stack Chess Rules

Stack Chess is a variation of chess in which pieces can be moved into squares with other pieces of the same color, combining the abilities of the pieces, creating a stack.

Then, pieces can be added to the stack to create a larger stack.

This stack is now combined, meaning it can not be seperated, and when an opponent moves into the square of your stack, they take the whole stack

  • Pawns can only promote by themselves, not as part of a stack
  • Kings can not be part of a stack
  • In normal mode: once a stack is created it can not be seperated and two of the same pieces can not be in the same stack
